With 10% of the season in, I’d like to try something and provide some analysis and predict the outcomes of tomorrow’s matchups.  Some might not get to read this until after the games are posted, but lets see how close I come.

Moncton vs Bathurst:  Ice cold vs Overachieving

It’s hard to bet against a team that is proving themselves as overachieving vs a team with no wins, but can Moncton break their losing streak?  I don’t think so!  Maybe I just want to see Jonathan get more angry but Bathurst has been making wins out of being outplayed.  That said, they didn’t get outplayed in their last game against Moncton but allowing 31 shots with Melon’s snipers can spell defeat for most teams and they still managed to score one more while my favorite backup Korpisalo stopped enough to do better than Blackwood.  3-5 for Bathurst.

Miramichi vs Oromocto:  Two cups vs None

I LOVE this new Senators team, but Miramichi is turning things around over their last 3 games.  I still think Grant is looking to put this season in their record books and the team is motivated to not allow past mediocrity to rear it’s ugly head again.  2-4 in favor of Oromocto.

Dorchester vs Cains:  Struggles vs Undefeated

Much like the Moncton vs Bathurst, things for these teams need to eventually swing the other way.  Dorchester is barely doing better than Moncton because they have two points from OT to go with their one win.  Cains has two ties to go with all those wins.  Cains is 2-0-1 against the Devils this season already but I think Alex and his team has this next one in Cains to break the Cains confidence and undefeated streak.  4-3 for Dorchester.

South Esk vs Riverview:  God I am tired of playing Jeff to start the season…

This season however it hasn’t been as bad.  3-0 for Scotsmen so far and I don’t want to sound overconfident, but I already called one upset and I feel my team is hot and Jeff doesn’t seem to like his team.  Alexeyev had 11 hits today against his old team so he seems motivated.  Monty seems to be off so far with 4 really bad performances this season.  I hate picking my team to win anything in predictions but I am saying 3-1 for South Esk.
